Sorry, not posting directly about this sermon...listened to the beginning of your sermon on Romans 9 and I had a question. You stated that everyone's name was written in the Lamb's book of life from the foundation of the world...and that unbelievers have their names blotted out later. I was wondering how you reconcile that idea with Revelation 17:8?

"The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is."

This verse seems to contradict what you said...

Thanks,
Jim

If you get this twice I apologize...it didn't appear to work the first time.

Anyway, listened to the first part of your Romans 9 clip and had a question. You said that people have their names written in the Lamb's book of life from the foundation of the world and unbelievers later get their names blotted out. Couple questions...

#1- Doesn't Revelation 17:8 contradict that idea?

"The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is."

This verse says that those who are judged here didn't have their names written in the book of life from the foundation.

Also...if you believe that everyone has their names written in the book, do you believe they are born sinless or in a state of innocence?

Thanks,
Jim
